Overview:
The Russo-Ukrainian War, previously referred to as the Ukrainian crisis in its early stages, is an ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2014. However it is most known to start on February 24th, 2022. What has caused this war and what are the U.S. doing to help Ukraine.
The U.S.
The U.S. have done a lot of things to help Ukraine. They started by placing embargo’s on trades with Russia, most notably gas and petroleum. This is what started the rising gas prices in the U.S. for about a year. The U.S. have also been sending weapons and clearly standing by Ukraine’s side during the whole conflict.
Military
The U.S. have sent troops to Ukraine in the form of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) plus along with the weapons that the U.S. have sent the U.S. really does not like what Russia is doing. Vladimir Putin is Russia’s leader, and has been at the helm of all these conflicts regarding Ukraine since 2012. He has been sending threats he could use military action on the U.S. meaning that if the U.S. interferes anymore with Russia then Putin could invade the U.S.

The U.S. involvement in the Ukraine-Russia conflict has been indirect. They first started by standing by Ukraine’s side. Then the U.S. started slowly sending weapons. After a while they started sending troops alongside NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). sadly to this day Russia is still invading Ukraine with no end in sight.
